Ambitions....

New projects and ventures underway. That also means setting some ol' goals for one's self. May as well put it in writing, that way it will actually mean something!

Updates...

My current project Land Between will be featuring in Waterford's Hive gallery as part of the Harvest Festival and Culture night. The exhibition will be opening this Saturday 2nd at 7:30 pm in Hive Gallery, Bank Lane, Waterford. If anyone is around the area for the festival, do pop in! Some info about Harvest below:

It’s a dream gig! The Stunning and The Saw Doctors with special guests O Emperor and Brass & Co take to the stage as Bolton Street Car Park comes alive with rock music and the smoke and smells from sizzling barbeques in a custom built WHF food court and bar area. With street entertainment throughout the event, the opening to the 2011 festival promises to be the Gig ‘n’ Grub highlight of the year for all the family. Do. Not. Miss.This.

Also, my project Illumine, from 2010 has been featured on a U.K. online magazine Soanyway. You can take a look at their latest issue here.

The Wonderful Veh-hicles of Cape Clear, Cork...

Went down to West Cork a couple of weeks ago for an ol staycation. During the week, we visited the island of Cape Clear down off the very bottom of the country. On the way over, the ferryman informed us that there was no such thing as the NCT on the island, they were exempt from having to pass one...and also said we would know what he was talking about when we got there. Lo and behold: Every. single. car/van was in a complete and utter state! You would swear the inhabitants of the island were given the cars as a present from a scrappage company. See below!!!

Last photo is taken off the Sheep's Head Peninsula...absolutely amazing. Topped off with a cuppa tay and chocolate treats :)

Pet Peeves....

There is nothing worse than a limp and feeble handshake. Either commit or don't bother at all I say!

Some News....

Excited for this years PhotoIreland festival in July. I am taking part in its Four Floors Photography Exhibition which will be held in the Mad Art Gallery, Dublin. It will open on the 19th July and close on the 31st. Link to event page.

I am currently working on a couple of projects: Some wedding Thank You cards which are just about ready to print; I am also currently editing the album artwork for Sadhbh O'Sullivan's debut album. Check her out on the link below!

The DIT Graduate Photography Exhibition closed its doors last Sunday, all walls have been emptied from the two galleries and the prints are all back at home waiting to be shown somewhere else! We managed to get a few sales for some of the artists which is great! You can still view the graduates' work on their website which will be kept online for the time being!

My graduate project can also be viewed in full on my website. Please click the link below to see!
